iMoogle - An FFXI/FFXIV LS (2003 - 2014)

Dunno if anyone here spiff about servers & routers, but I thought I'd ask anyways ^^

Right now my house is running 2 servers (on top of 4 standard comps). One server is my file server which houses pretty much all my anime and the other is my moms Team Speak server. My server is behind the router so that I can stream videos and what not, while the chat server is outside of router on a switch as so that others can connect.

Is it possible to put the chat program on my server and somehow make it so that the router will let that one program pass? Or is it like I think and we're stuck using two servers.

should just be a matter of setting up port forwarding. just looked on google and teamspeak uses ports 8767-8768, 14534 and 51234. instructions to configure port forwarding with your router are here.

to test just install/serve teamspeak on your server and get somebody outside your network to try and hit it.

You're also running this website at home too aren't you? We're not running anything else bandwidth excessive here. Just FFXI and any other misc gaming. I capped server at 16 people. I may bump it up to 32 if a lot of people wanna use it. This would also be good for the upcoming Kirin run as well.
