My Lost AF

Acting as if nothing happens only makes those people seem cold and like they don't care. This is a team operation, if we're so distant with each other we'll just end up failing in the end. We need to work towards being close-knit group, understanding and helping each other. We need to care about the other members and the goals of Dynamis (beating DL, not just get AF2 for everyone). If Dynamis becomes a cold distant group, then I have to quit it. I wouldn't want to spend ~3 hour blocks every friday with a group for months and months (and tuesday with another group, several shared individuals) just for them to treat me as an utterly and complete stranger.

In my opinion, FFXI is about community. Endgame is about community. People who just take that rare drop and disappear (literally or figuratively) doesn't build a community.

That's not what I ment. Sure, say your thanks and the "better luck next time guys". It shows good will. However, people are already going to be disappointed. It can feel like the person is unwittingly rubbing it in.

To be serious, people should be enjoying Dynamis LS's as a group and not about "I come here for AF2". Getting AF should be an extra, a prize of luck or whatever. Like any LS, it is a community or people who should enjoy playing with each other and have fun. I refuse to hold an LS of people who think gears and items first before it's members (this is how CSB is). If you aren't having fun, perhaps you're in the wrong place, possibly wrong game.

Here's the deal. Be happy for each other winning AF, but there is a line for celebration of AF in dynamis. I don't mind the "OMFG I FINALLY FREAKIN WON THIS PIECE OF AF2," but personally, the trying to comfort someone who has just rolled a 12, might not be taken very well. It's nice of you to THINK you're helping, and i know the intent is well. But I as well as others, do not take it well for someone to casually "bitch" about having AF2 when you have none (i have some, so that doesn't apply to me really). I don't mind yay i won! But the "you'll get it someday" is borderline imo, and the "they worked hard for it" is across the line. F--- that comment. If you can lot, then your ass has worked hard enough for it. Everyone worthy of lotting has a right to be happy and a right to get pissed. The limits come in how you handle it. I went too far myself by running and getting a bunch of people MPKed in Xarca. Cynic got pissed and yelled and shit. IT happens, we move on and life is back to normal. SE is evil. I say just be yourselves b/c people will get pissed and everyone has diff limits. I tuned cynic's rant out b/c i know that sucked. I hope we can all just move on and get along as before.
