iMoogle - An FFXI/FFXIV LS (2003 - 2014)

On tuesday (5/30), I went to the hospital to have a huge abscess looked at. The doctor said it looked 2-3 weeks old, though it was only 4 days old. It was drained of the pus and blood that was inside. I was put on acetaminophen with codeine phosphate (pain reliver), doxycycline, and rifampin (both anti-biotics. one turns my urine dark, the other make me uber sensitive to sunlight). They are all extremely strong meds by themselfs, and when they are together, that are tearing me up inside, not to mention the moments of feeling so weak I can barely hold myself up to the mood/temperment swings to the dizziness to the pounding headaches to the moments of all of them at once. Some side effects, huh? For each one (by themselfs) prolonged use can cause liver damage, joys of taking all 3 at once.

I go back in today (6/1) to get it cleaned up and checked out. I dont know how I got the bacteria in me, all I know is that I am dancing on the edge of death trying to get rid of it. I dont know how this will effect my runs with you guys, but I know I'm gonna have to limit my playing time until im off the meds, but I do not fore-see my dynamis time being impacted. I shall keep you all informed. I wish not to panic anyone, but this seemed like a small problem that might needed to be brought to you guys.

Well....I went to the nurse yesterday, to get the wound checked out. The good news is that there was no tunneling from the main body of the wound. That was really the only good news. The wound its-self is 2.3cm long, 1cm wide and .5cm deep, oval in shape. Thay cleaned it and repacked the hole with gause, and sent me on my way. My body is not adjusting well to the meds, and might not, seeing how I have 8 days left of them. I am finding ways to try to limit the side effects (like the tearing pain inside and the droziness), however, I've yet to find out how to keep my emotions in check.... I've snaped on a few online friends, I had an emotional break down after the post I made last night (and no....Im not emo...-.-;), and Im finding it hard to think, a couple of times I was doing something (both on game and irl) where I completely forgot what I was doing....

Time for some humour:
I was talking to my sister this evening. I showed her the pics, and told her what I was talking. Rifampin is used to treat meningitius and TB. Then she informed me that Doxycycline is used to treat the plauge, then promptly congradulated me on getting the plauge.

I was sent a random tell from someone (Jeaugaugue), wanting to know if I wanted to buy an E sword (which I do). I asked him how much, he said it was 20mil on the AH, but he would go lower...I offered him 78k.

Yup...thats about it.....If I snap tomorrow night, its your bad, I may not in controll of my mood anymore...^-^v

I know someone who had something like that happen to them, appendicitis > appendicsectomy> gets infected again somewhere else > 6 weeks in hospital > week rehab to get off the morphine.

Luckly I caught it this early. Im just really annoy because my 2nd Judo tourny was supposed to be on sunday, but no, I have to get infected with some unknown bacteria that had to leave a wound on my hip. Now Im sidelined with an annoying wound, drugs, and FFXI. All I know is that my judo instructor is going to use me as an example now for his "sanitation lecture" on why to keep clean and wash up (which I do, it just takes 1 open sore to get infected). -.-;. Joy, I cant work out until this heals. Guess all my jobs are getting to 37.

Update: I am off my meds in 3 more days, I get to remove the gause packaging in my wound. Thats the good news. Bad news: events as late (in game [friends with people who may/may not like each other] [not to mention Valkrum Dunes] and irl) are driving my health (mental mosty, but as a resault, physically) into the ground. So, while it seems I get the best of the infection, I still may have to cut back my overall playing time, even miss a raid, or cut out early, depended on how my mind and body fare. Again, I wish not to be one to make everyone worry, however, I owe it to you guys to keep you informed of my health issues.
