There's a good chance I might be able to come back in about March or so. Finally got hired yesterday, working for Staples haha. Giving myself sort of a month or two of buffer to figure out what my pay is like, and what I can afford to spend and all. I'm on some 3 month trial period at the job though, and the hours aren't really great either (12~15 hours); yet it's still a job. I might end up finding a second job though if this one isn't giving me enough money to function well enough.

Just thought I'd say hello and let people know I'm still alive. XD Though it appears I got a lot of catching up to do when I get back in game. My time offline hasn't been all that bad though; if anything I really needed the break haha, I just never realized it enough. I'm hoping everyone is doing well. :)

Hey Kaze,
miss you Q_Q. Glad to hear you're doing semi well! Good luck with that job. Catching up once you're back won't be bad, Abyssea will make quick work of your levels to grind. We're still rolling out dyna's every friday!(the crowd is getting smaller haha). Hope to see you soon buddy. Maybe my relic will be finished by the time your return! :D

Thanks. Yeah, Abyssea was good for exp when I was around, gonna have to buy the other expansions when I get back... so it's good to know that they're still good for exp. I'm gonna be looking into another job either as a 2nd part time job, or shifting over to a full-time job with comparable pay / more hours. Somewhere in here I might be moving closer to the job too... for now though I'm stuck commuting back and forth haha. At least I can stay at my older brothers for a couple days during my work week.

I haven't really been checking up on updates for FFXI much in my "time off." So when I get back it'll be interesting to see all the new stuff haha.

Here's hoping you finish your relic by the time I get back. :P

Well, just posting an update here. I'm not sure how much the forums are actually used these days. It doesn't look like much in the dynamis areas at least.

I'm doing pretty well at work atm. I actually got moved finally, so I'm working in the same city that I live in, which makes things much easier. I'm looking forward to getting back into the FFXI stuff. My only problem at the moment lies in the fact that my account is connected to a Square-Enix security token. I lost my token during the move, and now I'm going through the process of trying to get Square-Enix to stop bullshitting me and get the token removed from my account. They keep telling me on my tickets that I submit to get it removed that they can't verify me as the owner of the account because I'm apparently not having the information put in right. It's really annoying.

I submitted 4 tickets on the same day and they only responded to two of them. The other two I have no idea what happened to, I just resubmitted a ticket today. I'm going to call them tomorrow morning and not say I have a ticket, and see where that goes. Hopefully over the phone they'll be a little easier to deal with. Hopefully I should be back within a week or by the start of next month. It all depends on how fast I can get SE to deal with this crap. lol

Until then, I hope everyone is doing well. Hoping to see you all in game soon. :)

SE customer service regarding accounts is a major pain in the ass. It require a random draw of a good rep that will actually listen before you can get anything done -_-

The token is a pain to use. I used it for about a week back when I was playing XI and removed the feature.

As for dynamis and use of this site, figured Cett stop updating since the population is so low and everyone is on 100s for the most part. Also probably with the server merge I hear that's coming up... sounds hectic (maybe)

But anyways, good to hear you're doing well!

pretty much what kira said. We'll have anywhere from 5 to 15 people show up depending on zone and day. Everything is virutally free lot and the cycle for the 100's is virtually so low at the moment we've been contemplating just setting up a lot rotation to take place of the loot table. The new update will pretty much screw "attendence" systems in that you can play dyna any day of the week and still play the next day. It'll become open to everyone who wants to enter a zone, and you don't have to pay for a glass anymore... so the revitalization may attract more people but its bleh!

@ Kira: Yeah I understand what you mean. I'm not gonna buy another token since I gotta deal with all this bs with SE customer service. They keep saying my "Secret Question" isn't being answered right, so they can't verify who I am. So they sent me one of those forms that I gotta mail in for a compromised account. I got it notarized today for about $10, and sent it off. Hopefully they'll get back to me in a week or two. @_@

Sounds like Dynamis is getting more casual. Doing it daily would suck, unless you really want a Relic Weapon.

@ Cett: Eh, when I get back I still got AF I gotta finish, I just need to level up. As long as my job doesn't require me to work when Dynamis is going on, I'd be more than happy to raid with HH again lol. Generally my manager has been having me working Monday through Friday & during the afternoon since I'm pretty kick ass as a cashier. (aka: I'm reliable, and I'm always willing to work. Kind of like I very nearly ever missed a Dynamis unless I could help it. :P) Most of the other cashiers at my work are college kids / into the party life style and junk. So I usually end up covering for them when they're hungover or sick.

I haven't been keeping up with anything that's been going on with FFXI or FFXIV, but I feel like getting back into things should be like riding a bike. lol The only thing I really have to worry about is catching up on levels and dealing with "gimp" equipment. :@ Well... after I can log into my account again anyways. lol

Don't wanna derail, but FF14's been improving rapidly. I haven't played since the earthquake incident, but took a peek since the last update and improvements are still coming. Definitely going in the right direction.

Yeah, FFXIV is still something I'm looking to work with. I won't be able to go to it until they release the PS3 version though. I don't plan to upgrade my computer for at least 8 months to a year from now. :(

Good news though, I got things worked out with my account. I had to submit one of those "account compromised" forms in order for SE to do anything for me. After that it was a piece of cake. Called in the morning, got email, about 30 mins later the token was removed, and I'm able to log in again.

I won't officially be back in game until May 1st though.

Good to hear you got your stuff settled. Sounds easier than all the hoops I had to go through to get Ladyrain's account updated.

Don't worry about 14 til PS3 release. By then everything will be fleshed out XD and.. billable lol

Yeah Kira, I agree with your sentiments about FFXIV there. I'm not gonna bother with it until they release the PS3 version. I've heard too much about it being horrible as it is / was from release till now. lol

Yeah, Square-Enix definitely likes their policy crap. I suppose it's good for keeping people out of your account and all.. but it really sucks when you're the real owner of the account and can't get them to acknowledge that. lol
