I. General Raid Rules
A. Be On Time
Raids take place every Friday (Sat HK/JP). Meeting time is 9:15PM EST (10:15AM HKT/11:15 JPT). Expected Entry-Time is 10:15PM EST. Players who arrive after 10:00PM EST are considered late.
Time Key:
Nov-Apr: 9:15PMEST = 10:15AMHKT/11:15AMJPT
Apr-Oct: 9:15PMEST = 9:15AMHKT/10:15AMJPT

B. Excused Absences
You have a week to post o nthe Absentee thread if you are unable to make it. HHLS is a closed raid. Unexcused absences will cause us to make last minute adjustments to the lineups which delays entry time.

C. Excessive Absences
This will result in the player to be axed from the LS.

D. Abusive, Incapability to Comply with Rules
You will be axe if I'm in a bad mood :x

E. Announce AFK
If you must go AFK, you must either announce it in /party or in /linkshell. If we see that you AFK too often on too many raids, we may remove you from our raids.

F. Why You are Here
We are here to have fun and enjoy Dynamis. AF2 is a reward which is gotten through attending countless raids and a bit of luck. If you are here for the sole purpose of obtaining AF and not care about the LS itself this is not the place for you. We do not tolerate players which alienate others because of loot. AF2 is something that takes time and patience and occasionally luck.

G. How to Join HH
HH Dynamis LS is a closed LS. There will be points in time where people may leave the linkshell and spots will open. During these times, specific jobs may be needed and openings will be offerred.
Edit: Currently I am occasionally accepted members by reference. Upon receipt of the player info, I will check that there are no conflicts with our current members before acceptence into the LS

H. 5/8-Weeks Removal
Players who do not post notice of absence for 5-weeks straight will be removed from the roster without notice and credits are zeroed if there are other Vanadiel players who wish to join HH. If there are no players on the waiting list to join HH and a player continues to not post notice of absence, each missed raid after the 5th week, 4 points will be deducted per week from the player's tally of all zone. After 8 weeks of absence without notice, the player will be removed from the roster.
Edit: After 4+ weeks of inactivity, players will be placed on the Inactive list.

II. Game Settings
A. /assist <player> Macro
In a 64 player raid, there will be four alliances; Assault Alliance 1 (A1), Assault Alliance 2 (A2), Puller Alliance (A3), and the BLM Alliance (BLM-PT). In a normal city raid, A1 and A2 will have seperate main and backup assists. Members of A1 are to /assist main tank of A1. If the main tank of A1 falls, /assist the backup. In the case both tanks are down, /assist main tank of A2. Members of A3 should choose to /assist main tank of A2 unless notified otherwise.
BLM-PT will consist of two parties. Members of each party will /assist the lead BLM of each party.

B. /autotarget OFF
This setting is imperative for a sucessful Dynamis. This prevents melee from automatically selecting a target after the original target has been killed. Accidental attacks on mobs such as avatars have high possibility of causing full wipes.

C. Chat Filters and Graphics Filters (Optional)
Dynamis is one big lag fest. A suggestion is to eliminate any graphic effects such as casting, etc and use chat filters to filter out non-important information such as damage received/dealt.

III. Loot
A. Byne Bills, Ordelle Bronzepieces, White Tuku Shells
Known as single currencies. These currencies are to be autorandomed and distributed by FF's autodistribution when the pool overflows. Only when we're down to the last 2mins of the raid, an Officer will call for the roll of these currencies.

B. Crafting Items
These items include Beastcoins, Infinity Core, Collosal Skull, etc. These items will be collected by select individuals in the raid. All these items will be sold and gil will be tallied up and used as discount for the next raid.

C. Relic Weapons
These are job roll. If you have a job that can use it, you may roll. No level limit on who may roll.

D. Attestations
Each player will be allowed to roll and win ONE attestation for their entire lifetime in HH. Once you have roll and won an attestation paper, you may not roll on another. So decide carefully what paper you want.

E. 100 Pieces
See Rolling Rule.

F. AFII Armor
See Rolling Rule.

IV. Rolling Rule
A. Item Select per Zone
Each player chooses one AF to lot person, including 100 pieces. The job is zone specific, so you can choose a different job's AF per zone.

B. The Formula
There will be a rolling limit boundry for each job's AF (including 100) per zone. To be able to roll, a player must have sufficient credits to roll.
The formula is as follows: The highest credit for a specific AF or 100 minus 1.50 times the standard deviation of all rollers for that particular AF (or 100) rounded down when the standard deviation spread is less than 1.75, otherwise it is MAX minus Standard Deviation.

Code: Select all

If Standard Deviation < 1.75
// Small Spread
Then -> MAX(of job) - [1.50 * Standard Deviation(of job)]
// Large Spread
Else -> MAX(of job) - Standard Deviation(of job)
Mathematical Term:
- If the difference between credits is high, higher credit limitation is imposed so that the ones with higher attendance have rights to lot first.
- If the difference between credits is small, normal standard deviation is used to determine the lot limitation.

In simple terms: As long attendance is good, you will win your preferred AF over time.

C. Credits
Credits determines if you are eligible to roll on an item in a specific zone.

D. What this means
Attendance will play a big factor in whether or not a player may roll. A player who has attended the most raids (having the highest credit) and has not won an AF will be the marker (MAX) which determines the cutoff mark for all rollers of that AF. When the spread is large enough, the players with high attendance will have rolling priority over those with very low attendance or those that switched AF (to be discussed below).

E. New Members
New members start off with 0 credits for each zone. They will earn credit as they attend each raid.

F. Switching AFs
Members may switch from their designated AFs to another, but credits previously earned for that zone will be reduced to 0 (zero). Credits are earned by attending raids. There is no level limit on the job for the AF that you're switching to.

Note: Having 0 credits on an AF does not give you priority in an Open Pool. (ie) If you have just changed your AF preference for a zone to one that has no lotters, that particular AF for this zone will still be considered Open Roll until a player has at least 1 Credit in that pool.

G. Rule Removed.

H. Latenesses
Rule Removed.
Edit: Screenshots of LS will be taken aat 9:45PMEST. This is the early-bird group and will receive bonus credit each time they show up early.

I. Zero Roller AF Drops
If an AF drops where there are no rollers, it is open for free roll in the following priority: Lv70+, Lv65+, Lv60+, Free Roll. One Item Per Raid rule still applies (see below)

J. One Rolling Item per Raid
Only one item can be won per raid. (unless it's a special exception Open AF must be passed if you already won an item)

K. Special Cases
Other cases that arise related to rolling will be decided on the spot during the raid. (ie) Open AF, a person in the raid is withing 2-lvls from wearing it... We may decide to give it to that person. Unless you have some mythical mannequin, it does not need AF.

L. Checking Your Credits
Tally of attendance/AF are updated on Excel Sheets (now HTML) every week. Check the excel sheet for your stats. :)

So, when and how to change the lotting preference now?

Kira - please help me out

What is the current standard deviation? I think I remember from my math days, but it's been a while.

I took the updated attendance list for the standard deviation. (update Windy!)
I picked THF in Beaucedine for easier results in cas I'm wrong (only 5 people lotting THF). (OMG 100's in Bastok... :( ) PS: Riddler has his THF there already. Needs updating.

StDev=3.11 (that includes Cephiro since he's MNK lotting THF.)
Blosm has the highest in the pack with 10
Minus the standard deviation since it's > 1.75 = 3.11 (or 3)
So the spread to lot is a Large one of 10-7.

Did that make sense?
And to further stir the pot up, if we take Gungho out of the number since he has the lowest attendance on THF, it then becomes StDev (1.29)
Which is under 1.75 so the lotting range becomes a Small Spread.

10- (1.5 *1.29) = 10 - 8

From what I can see, it makes a HUGE difference when 1 person isn't updated on the spreadsheet. Who will call out who can and cannot lot during a raid for a particular item?

Aside from that, I like it.

Since the rules are being implemented now, I'm keeping the fair roll rule where everyone starts with the same amount of credits based on the job that they are rolling for and let their attendance take care of the rest.

I fixed up Riddler's THF (forgot he got that piece in IF)

On the AF-Count tab of the spreadsheet, names will be bold for those who can lot. On top of the bar of each zone lists: JOB / ROLL LIMIT / MAX

As for 100's I may change the calculation values slightly since those drops are just too rare. Not sure yet tho.

Great - you gonna update Windy and have that spreadsheet all sorted out or you need a hand? :D

If you could continue posting recaps of each raid it would be great. This way I don't have to write down who won what haha~

I have a few excel questions, but I'll ask em another time. I'm an excel n00b, but somewhat of a programming guru (or was), so my excel book is probably more sloppy that it would normally be.

I'll update your Windy for you and clean anything up you need.

I can add in the formulas as needed for each area too and show you how it's done if it helps you out?

Although, you can probably script this in some programming language in 20 mins, I'll take 45 or so to monkey it up just right.

G. Current Members' Credits based on this Rule Change
All current members will have their credits adjusted to the job's MAX value based on that AF per zone. Everyone will be on the same page once this rule is put into effect. After, your attendance is what keeps you in rolling position or not.
This is what was confusing for a lot of us last night. Kinda sucks that any of our attendence in the past pretty much means nothing now but I'm sure there is a reason for it.

I think the lot range thing would be more easily understandable if you throw in an example or two with specific numbers. :P
