No, this is not a support center, but if you have a technical question regarding hardware, software etc, ask it here. Don't expect working resolutions though ;P

Cookies may be yummy but they don't like me back

#1 Post by Mosh »

Ok so, I have an internet cookie problem. Forums refuse to keep me logged in, logging me out at random. It's a pain in the ass when I:

1: Type up a post
2: Get asked to log on
3: Click the link that takes me back to previous page
4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 for as many times as the forum wishes (sometimes 0, sometimes 2, sometimes 6)
5: Lose what I typed in.

And it's not just this site. My LS forum and BG do it for me as well. I don't close Firefox between the log ins of course.

(Note: I had cookies set to expire when the cookie expires, but I changed it thinking that was the issue. apparently not)

I've run multiple spyware scans with only the normal stuff coming up. Virus scan didn't pick up anything either, last run friday. I've had this problem for weeks. Anything I can do to fix this? :/

Forums have been doing that to me as well when they get slow. Not sure if anything is changing when they get their large server loads or not. I've just ignored it so far.

Been getting that randomly at times too. I use Opera though. I stay logged-in for days, but out of the blue on random days it loses track.

I've been getting the same thing..but sounds like Mosh has a problem and we just have to live with the server being gay. Since I stay logged into bg and LB's forums.

Only Firefox users having this issue? As for the server, the host was moving files to another box. Not sure if it's completely done, but it could very well affect cookies.

It's just not this forum though, so I didn't attribute it to lag. Figured it was something on my end since LS forum and BG do it too.. bah
