Ok. In light of recent events ive read about I felt the need to petition SE about changes that I believe are due for our enjoyment of FFXI. I believe HNM's should be about skill and not out claiming another LS. This only results in hostility. You cant say it doesnt because everyone gets mad when they lose to another. I believe the only luck in a HNM fight should be what the drops are. If you dont have the skill to kill it then you shouldnt bother fighting it. Ive written a petition to SE about this and need signatures. Dont know if anyone wants to sign up or not but this is the link.

I think its time we had a voice heard instead of just whining in tells or forums.

Personally I feel this will be something that's very hard to change. In most, if not all MMORPGs, this problem occurs because of people reaction towards each other whenever it comes down to everyone wanting something in common. Everyone becomes enemies once it comes down to loot and everyone has their own reasons why they should have it first.
Like the real world, everyone's ready to bite each others head off whenever two or more people want something in common (ie)2 guys liking same girl, etc
The best way to resolve this is more of self-control, or LS leaders creating rules that promote some sort of controlled rule about loot.
As for gaining pop items to pop Kings... NMs are still required to be camped to obtain the pop items, which many LS's will be fighting for. In essence this idea is just a watered down version of HNM camping. It's like saying camping Fafnir for a pop item to pop Nidhogg, etc. The same conflict would happen if SE makes Sky Stone/Gem NMs pop times to be 24hr instead of the current 8hrs.
If SE we're to increase pop time and decrease drop rate, it would end up like Lord of Onzozo and Kraken Club drop rate, which is just annoying.
I'm not saying that I totally disagree with your idea, it's just that I feel SE won't change/add NMs just because people are human and act human. Poor people can't ask the government pay lower class people more money than the higher classed people :p

The idea of ccamping items from NMs to pop 3 Kings is just same like Sky right now and still ppl camping them a lot especially Ulikkummi.
Maybe it's like Uli but I've personaly fought Uli, Byakko and Kirin and the way the things are right now I'll never even touch the regular behemoth.
Personally I think they should at least make the 3 kings pop every 3 to 6 hour. Even if we end up with everybody in Adaman Hauberk. I don't think people really mind that every monk and ninja have the Osode or shura Togi. Yet most Drk, Paladin or Rdm will never get their end game armor the way the things are now.

They only thing they can do is throw in newer HNMs that drop better armor... just like every other MMORPG. Reason for suc crazy armor? To kill time -_-; Every MMORPG's End-Game is quite bland, other than those where you can PK or own land etc. Alot of these games are missing an interesting end-game fun. Hunting NM just for armor is fun at first, but becomes very repetitive.



forget it! its just a game.. why do you need to do petition. if you cant compete KFC why not just go to popeyes ? but really its just game. have fun, dont go stressing or crying that you cant claim shyet. if everyone in your ls put time and effort you will get the claim thats all

I don't really see the need for 'uber' gear other than to bling. Abjuration to me is just a prize, but not something that is required to have fun in the game. Kings/Gods/Super HNM are just things SE added in to enhance game play for end-gamers. Again, it does get repetitive and boring. Like me and many players that've been playing for a while now, the only thing keeping me interested is leveling all the jobs. Once that's done, the game is pretty much done for me.
If you're the type of person to only play one job, after you gain a full set of abj. there's nothing left -_-;
Yeah there is PM, but personally I hate annoying quests that require a cesspool of gil to clear as well as running around in loops like a normal RPG game. (aka Brave Fencer Musashi)
