iMoogle - An FFXI/FFXIV LS (2003 - 2014)

I know Lung, Keef, and I would like to have this hat since we are closing in to 70.

I want to get some information on how hard to get the drops (camp party composation) and if we know people who can make the cluster how much we need to pay.

Burning Hakutaku Eye Thousand Eyes (Level: 60 - 62) (King Ranperre's Tomb)
Damp Hakutaku Eye Dodomeki (Level: 63 - 69) (Ifrit's Cauldron)
Earthen Hakutaku Eye Blubber Eyes (Level: 55 - 58) (Sea Serpent Grotto)
Golden Hakutaku Eye Mindgazer (Level: 66 - 69) (Sea Serpent Grotto)
Wooden Hakutaku Eye Million Eyes (Level: 73 - 76) (Den of Rancor)

kayel, theen, knolan, nekote and I pretty much got it with just us and the help of Kira and Lappi. We were around lvl 66-68 pretty much except for knolon, theend and kira

Burning, Damp, Earthen were pretty easy to get.... eyes don't hit too hard...just their magic is ging...but u can silecne and stun the ging magics.
for all of them u need at least 1 blm and 1 whm with u...we did do some with only 1 blm.


Tomb & Grotto(earthen): easy, for earthen u might want someone at least 71 to pull cos the eyes are all spread out and 71 won't aggro

Ifri: Pretty easy too...the only thing is there are a lot of bombs and scorp around...those are you worries...they can wipe out your pt pretty easily

Grotto (Golden): you need someone who has the sagrin key to enter the area. (quest in norg) WARNING: u can only use the sagrin key once...so if u go make sure you prepare to stay long to get everyone a eye before u leave, it cost good money to acquire the key.

Rancor: This is a bitch, you need 'brush of soul' to go in (same entrance as the one we went to to do ZM4). and the mobs are nasty in there, camp spot is full of pops too...rather dangerous. And drop rate sucks on this also. I suggest you just buy this one if u see it in bazaar.

I can show u the camp spots in Tomb, Grotto (both), and ifrit anytime....they pretty easy to get to, well as for rancor...i rather not go in there...lol

You'll definitely need a blm or whm (2 mage will be best) for all of them, theend and kayel tanked most of the fights. Theend has nin sub and kayel has hp ou the ass. We never had a real tank for any of them. Be prepare to take some time to be able to get all of them...it took us a very very long time. Dont' worry about Hakutaku of yet....gettin all the eyes will be a while

like he said, we were 66-68 when we camped all these eyes, including the tough ones in rancor.

all of these drops, like just about all other drops in game, have random drop rates. sometimes they drop very quickly, sometimes never.

i remember we got 3 burning eyes in about 30mins, but camped wooden eye for 2.5hrs once and didn't see a single one.

burning and earthen you will be able to do with np. the last 3 are all in dangerous areas, and you must be careful. all these eyes are blm type, so silence and stun order are a must. they also paralyze like crazy.

[edit: just wanted to add... if there's any way i can talk you guys out of getting this imaginary hat... even when omega wears this hat, which doesn't really exist, he still swings like a blind man. i suggest you guys buy a fungus hat and fake it ]

simpler version of getting hakutaku hat is :
1. camp eye ;;
2. camp eye ;;
3. camp eye ;;
4. camp eye ;;;;;;;;
5. camp eye ;;;;;;;;
6. when eye is pushed down and 5 items come to hand
7. alchemy lvl 90+ required and for synthesis.
7. travel to den of rancor with 70*18 = o
8. go to ??? mark with sneak + invis
9. clear area
10. trade to ??? to pop Hakutaku
11. when hakutaku is pushed down, optical hat rare/ex item will come to hand.
12. omedetou~~ ^^

but golden and wooden is not so simple to just go 'camp'. for golden, you must get sahagin key first. for wooden, you must first go thru uggalepih (need kill guardian and open paintbrush door) and go pretty deep into rancor.

if it was as simple to just camp, we would have been finished in much shorter time

i was thinking of buying hakutaku eye cluster...just need to find that guy that i saw... he was selling it for 900k but i was using "clent" account tried to login as Keef , as i predicted he log out

i think maybe when we bored we will go camp the eyes, at the mean time, i will just farm like i am getting another Haubergeon..

@@ Why kill 600-800K when you can camp it... Also that item is traded to pop Hakutaku... If HKC on NM fight... waste of $
