WHM Maat Fight.

BEFORE FIGHT CALM YOURSELF DOWN!!! Don't PANIC like stupid me >< Panic brings unneccessary(sp) errors during the fight. ><
Equipment:
- Earth Staff (For the +4 vit and the -20% on physical dmg)
- WHM AF
- Bat Earrings X 2 (For Evasion +15 when blind)
- Electrum Ring
- Aquamarine Ring
- Steppe Rope
- Blue Cape
- Holy Phail
(No thalum and what not b/c I'm the ghetto)
Food/Potions:
- Steamed Crab
- Blinding Potion X 12 (b/c bat earring gives +15 eva each when blind)
- Yagudo Drink X 3
- Vile Elixir +1
- Echo Drops X 12
- Hi-Potion X 4
Macros:
- Cure II
- Cure III
- Blinding Potion
- Yagudo Drink
- Vile Elixir +1
- Echo Drops
- Hi-Potion
(Macro for the item's is like this: /item "[Name of Item]" <me>
Fight!!!
- After enter BC, cast Protect/Shell 4, Stoneskin, Blink, Aquaveil and Barparalyzra/Barblizzara.
- Med to full.
- Eat yagudo drink. And eat crab. (Remember to EAT THE CRAB!! Don't be like me. . . 2 minutes in "Hey why am i dying. . . oh where's my crab?!") And take one blinding potion.
- Run up to Maat and cast Paralyze.
- Let him beat you and cure yourself using Cure II or Cure III, whichever seems appropriate at the time. Try not to let your life drop to yellow b/c that's a close call. Especially for Taru.
- If deemed necessary, use Benediction in big big emergency. My emergency was when I hit 200 health b/c I forgot eat to eat my steamed crab and eat a blinding potion. And also b/c I could get my cure's out in time b/c I was panicky.
- When your Yagudo Drink is out, drink another. (I only used 2)
- If you get dia'd don't bother Erasing yourself. But if you get paralyzed, do make sure you paralyna. I didn't get paralyzed thank goodness.
- If silenced, use your echo drops. I got silenced once but used 3 of them cuz I panic.
- If your life drops to yellow and Maat is hitting you and you can't get your Cure spells out, use Hi-Potion as needed. I used 2 of mine.
- If you're unblinded again, eat blinding potion. I only had to use 2 of these.
- I used my Vile-Elixir +1 when my mp hit about 300.. Brought my MP to about full again.
- Watch out for his TP!!! If TP get big dmg, maybe use benediction if needed or Divine Seal + Cure III.
I know some ppl used Divine Seal but I didn't have to, only my poor benediction >< Remember that you need to cure like 4000+hp on yourself. So don't waste your time and fight >< just cure yourself.
Reason for the item's I used:
My choice for using +eva earring is because I figured since I'm taru, I really don't want to get hit so often. And to think it also give you +mp!!! Whoo hoo!! But yea, I have so much MP that there's no need to boost up more, so I didn't go use two +mp rings. If you are other race, maybe look towards more +mp stuff since you have good amount of life. I know Dawn used Mikekirby's healing staff for the +10% cure potency and +50mp which is good. But if taru, keep with earth staff. In my opinion having the -20% physical dmg from the earth staff is a good precaution since taru's already have lots of mp.
Other equipment by other WHMs:
I read some ppl who use -% spell interupption stuff, but if you think about it, you're not going to be moving much anyways. And if you time your spell casting right, you won't get interuppted. During my fight I only got interuppted b/c I didn't eat blind potion. After that I never got interuppted.

Remember to have fun when play Maat. I realized at the end that there was really no need to panic b/c we WHM's are superior to MNKS!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA!! Btw my fight took me 7 minutes. I'm so weak!! ww~
