*Graphically outstanding
*Liking the new battle system
*Crafting & gathering are much improved over FFXI
*Also like the new job system as well. Nice to be able to mix & match abilities (even if at a lesser rate)

-Retainer system requires lots of time/patience (but SE has already said they will have a patch in a week or two to address the retainer system, including organizing thewards)

So far the positives heavily outweight the negatives in my opinion. Most of the negatives will be easy for SE to address and I'm sure they will in rather short order.

My take of the game after less than two weeks so far:
1. Targeting system is still poor - no difference from beta (no sub target system)
2. Poor console commands /targetnpc and /targetpc targets the CLOSEST npc or pc... why?
3. Menu system is slow - too many pages to go through to get to what you need
4. The AH-less system is crap. It is not fun having to look through a billion retainers full of junk
5. Skillchain for dummies system gets you killed - easier to count from 1 to 3
6. No variety in leveling environment. You can stay in the same general starting zone probably until r50. If you want a different taste, have fun going to the other starting zones. Have your pick of trees, desert, grass for multiple hours of awesome grind sessions. In XI at least you got to see the blinding sands of the dune for a few levels then the scenery changes to snow.
7. Lag. The general input -> expected output is slow. About a default 300ms ping response. During heavy load this goes up to about 500-700ms lag. Mobs that you think you have a good distance on via kiting, think again. It's really drilled up your ass. -- Double edge sword on this one though, the response to aggro is equally slow. So you can actually run past and leash mobs if you're trying to get somewhere.
8. Skilling up. As a mage, if you're not playing a leve, cures, buff get you nothing. 0. Skill up via nukes, and meleeing. Don't forget the chance of getting 0 skillups even when you down a mob. Crafting is more 'consistent' in obtaining skill than the actual fights.
9. Losing the macro/action bar on mob death... Game designed heavily based on single playability. If you are in a party fighting multiple mobs and the target dies, you not only lose the mob, you lose your action and macro bars. All the while the other mobs during the leve are bashing your players while you are wondering why that cure you thought you confirmed didn't fire. Oh right! you need the action bar to cast shit.
10. Search. Really? Why is this not here.
11. No party member dots on map. Another sign that SE only focused on single player performance in this "MM"O
12. wth is up with the level disparity of mobs. Don't exactly enjoy spending 20mins to travel to the otherside of the world to find the next general mob level location (ie)Bentbranch > Emerald Moss > Tranquil > ??? Rarely do I find yellow mobs. I see alot of blue and then the gtfo-red mobs

At least I tries to throw out some positives! Most of the issues though, seem like relatively simple fixes.

Not to act like a spoiled new generation MMOer.. but content where? lol

Yea it isn't end game but seriously there's not much to do. Pick up leves, grind, do the one time missions? lol

At least in 11 you kind of felt you were going places lol. Noob it up in the dunes and get your SJ (Progress). Noob it up again or just keep goin as a bigger noob lol. The epic run to jeuno (Progress). Cutting your wrists getting a chocobo (Progress). Wiping to banshees. Getting 3 keys for airship to.. uh goblin smithy land (Progress). Dying to said smithies. Getting advanced jobs (Progress). Noobing it up v3. Cutting wrists farming yag necklaces for utsusemi. Spamming BCNM40 for erase or utsusemi. Epic (read annoying as fuck) climb up dekfult tower for a key (Progress). Marathon EXPLORING the world for airship pass (Progress). and now we're what.. maybe 40? lol. As we hit 50s we're doing stupid limit break (Progress) rank 6 battle in xarc which was actually pretty damn cool the first time lol. And anything else could be considered encroaching on "end game". Yea yea I know that kazham wasn't there before rotz.. but it all couldn't have been missing when the game was released. What does 14 have? Leves... lol


tl;dr: content pls, progress pls.

Now for a few more nit picks with the game lol....

The stupid chat. Holy shit fix the chat. Stop clearing my damn chat every 2seconds when I'm doing.. well almost anything but standing still. It is ridiculous to try to chat when you're crafting...you want to be chatting when you're crafting. Same when you're gathering.. hell when you're battling you don't wana have to type the same damn thing 4 times cause you're doing some form of actions and SE decides you don't need to chat when fighting.

Fix ctrl R. Period.

hmm.. maybe I should enumerate them lol

3. These chat filters suck ass. Everything shouldn't be a damn system message.
4. Command line inputs for checking bazaar. Make party commands actually work properly.
5. Fix multiple mob claiming issues. Your XP shouldn't be calculated from the time it turned red, it should be calculated based on the damage actually dealt.
6. Fix claiming mobs when in a party, but the party leader isn't in the area.
7. Fix the proximity issues with parties and linkshells.
8. Delivery system where are you?
9. Moving while checking bazaars yes pls.
10. Inventory sort wru
11. Speed up the retainer transfer time. 5-15seconds per item transfer is rediculous.
12. Make crystals create multiple stacks. Also fix the problem when you have 999 in your inventory and X on your retainer and you move those from your retainer to your inventory you basically lose all of the ones on your retainer since it'll cap you at 999. Also problematic when going from bazaar to inventory.
13. Allow adjustable prices in the bazaar without having to remove then resell items.
14. Allow more than 4 items in the trade window...
15. Allow us to remove weather affects (This might actually be here but i'm retarded)
16. Prompt us if we want to bind to a damn crystal.
17. Stick a damn prompt when you die. Don't make us go to the menu and then get the prompt. So many damn prompts in the menu system why is one lacking where it should be.
18. F keys for party member targeting
19. FULL CUSTOMIZATION of the keyboard FFS. Not half.
20. Fix the damn input error when you're using the keyboard and mouse and specifying how many items you want to select. If I type in 5 it should be 5, not revert to 1 just cause I didn't hit enter and clicked ok instead... fkin stupid.
21. Add in more leves per camp. We get 3ish per camp. Anima doesn't really regen fast enough to go between all the cities to really use the 8 leves at one level range.

I could probably go on..but i'll just stop picking this game apart. These don't bother me a whole lot since I'm pretty sure they'll get fixed eventually..now if they go unfixed for a long time then they'll really bother me. The progress and content issue I think is a bigger factor on if I feel like playing this game.

Note I didn't mention ones that kira already did..they also bug me XD
