Areas where I would consider mandatory would be in the Ice zones where time-to-kill per mob and efficiency is important. This is especially true in Xarcabard where every NQ mob is the caliber of a city NM. Time is always against use in these zone and I would like us to use food, especially the melees. It doesn't have to be expensive food. Squid Sushi is fine (goes around 10-15k a stack?)
The faster the mobs go down, the lesser the MP wasted by mages curing and support nuking. This will give the group more timer for chances at more mobs, attestations and possibly increase the chances of AF to drop
As of the Quarter4 of 2006, we have been a very strong group. Being able to practically *clear* all city zones (with Jeuno still a work in progress). With the start of 2007, I would like us to become more efficient, and get us some Dynamis-Xarcabard Interloper titles and more Fragments for the relic folks, as well as more relic owners.
Some tips that we can use during our raids (some already known and obvious):
- All BST mob pets cast magic. The should always be silenced.
o Slimes (Gobs) - Casts Paralyzega (don't melee these)
o Hecteyes (Orcs) - Casts Dispelga, Paralyzega
o Scorpions (Quads) - Casts Breakga
o Crows (Yagudo) - Casts Silencega
o Dragons (Demons) - These don't cast anything lol
- When THF goes SP (Perfect Dodge) and BLM don't have the MP to nuke, SLEEP it. This means No DOT on THF. Sleeping during SP means saving some Dmg taken on tanks.
- When PLD goes SP (Invincible) and BLM don't have MP to nuke, same as THF, SLEEP it. (for the same reason above)
- PLDs that tank MNKs, use your Sentinel to tank MNK SP. This is your 2nd Invincible every 5mins!
- Kill order should be SMN > BST > BST pets (except for slimes) > BLM > MNK > ... etc. Last should be WHM (Benediction wakes up slept mobs)
- It is best that Melee sub NIN to reduce dmg taken. Unless in special occasion such as Dynamis Lord..
- WHMs not in the tank PT should also look and help cure tanks as 2nd priority.
