Moved to phpBB3.0

#1 Post by Kirakun »

Upgrade to phpBB3 is complete. The portal page is still a WIP. Hoping to finish that in a few days. There are no album mods available for phpBB3 just yet, so I'll be linking to the old forum's album for updated pics.

Things left to add/mod:
- Quick Reply (waiting for a good quick reply mod to be available)
- Scrolling Recent Topic (similar to old forum)
- Recent News (portal page)

I think that live chat window on LM17s forums is kind of fun. :) Can we get one?

Do that in private please!! lol

And that is exactly why I don't have everyone I know in game on my MSN friends list.. lol.. but that doesn't mean that ppl wouldn't like to say hi to each other when they are bored at work surfing the boards. :)

On a serious note.. it seems direct quoting of one person works.. but if you quote a post that quotes someone else, it doesn't work.

When I post a reply, on the left side under options, it says BBCode is Off. Then under the reply text composition area, it has a box to check for Do not automatically parse URLs. I looked under my User Control Panel and didn't see a way under any of those options to turn BBCode on.

Goto User Control Panel, on the left nav go to Profile > Edit Posting Defaults > Enable BBCode by default: On

When posting reply etc, "Disable BBCode" should be unchecked (if it is checked)

My posting settings are:
BBCode by default: Yes
Enable smilies by default: Yes
Attach my signature by default: Yes
Notify me upon replies by default: No

But as I am typing this, in the Post a Reply window, I see in the left nav panel "options: BBCode is off". Center panel: unchecked box with "Do Not automatically parse URLs". So I'm confused. If I have BBCode by default: Yes.. then it should work right?
