Looks like someone created a windower program to help with the UAC crashing and add a hardware mouse. I haven't made it downstairs yet to give it a shot, but here's the link.

I'll wait a bit to see if SE actually fixes it lol. Something tells me SE will bring the hammer down a bit harder if they have the basics already down and windower is used for plugins instead of a feature that should've been in the game.
