Dy-Xarcabard Discussion Thread

#1 Post by Kirakun »

This is no easy way to pull this zone other that pullers need to show how good of a puller they are. If you look at the map that's posted on this site, the small red dots are estimated locations of mobs (Vanguard Eyes). Each pull will result in a probable link. This means that RDMs will need to be on top of their game with sleeping. Melee and BLM must be far apart to avoid getting slept by Vanguard Eye's sleepga.

As for pulling, we will work CCW towards the Vhazl Port Crystal. If we get that far, we will work our way to Castle Zvhal. On the icy path up to the castle will be 6 Dragons that need to be encountered one by one before hitting DL.

The very first pull will be big. With our experience we should have no problem, but since this is the first Dy-Xarc for many people, I expect some to be mezmerized just by the environment itself. Get the butterflies out early and have your A-game ready

As mesmerized as I will be, I'm going to be watching the horizon like a hawk to sleep links. Better get a BIG exp buffer for this run. :D

I know sometimes we listed items we have to bring for raids and some ppl still don't remember to bring them. For Dynamis-X it is really really really really important to have all the items necessary. Also if we are going to actually hit up the DL melee and anyone else who can carry sword will need Opo-Necklace sleep potions, icarus wings and possibly vitrol to take the icraus wing effect off after you use it.

If we are going to try DL lets try to get some strategy before we go as well so that we can be at least semi prepared. Will all the RDMs be going SJ DRK this raid?

drakkan we can try doing DL just to see what he does and after that we can focus on how to kill him... so the first timer can feel and see DL.

i dont know when is kira going to make an offical kill for DL but when he does everyone must bring those required items and proper jobs and subjobs

Our first goal as Keef said is to reach DL point with sufficient timing. Our 2nd hit, depending on first hit, will definitely be to take down DL.

The basic foods will be required. But later on for DL, addition "Maat" food will be required also, but not for this Friday's raid.

That goes without saying lol However, as a 73 RDM, it would be pointless to go RDM/DRK so I won't even bother. :)

think i said that wrong i was trying to say in the future run when we know we can kill DL. RDM/DRK will be needed to kill DL "IF WE ARE READY"... i dont know if you saw the video of it.

Main reason for Chain-Stun is coz Dy-Lord has MNK SP
Other abilities are AOE HP Drain, AOE attack, AOE MP Drain. The stuff that's always annoying with any mega-boss in all FF-series
