Your Thought On Raised Sponsorship..
After a test run of the 660K(2/3 coin) raid, I would like your input. The purpose of going to 660K from 500K are the following:
1. The old 500K/500K raids, I am not gaining enough gil back from craft items to make back 500K. (Not everyone sends me the craft items that slips into their inventory..) All this time me and Dchaos have been paying the full 500 even if we make negative.. (If I decide to make keep the original 500K host raids, we will be paying entrance fee)
2. 660K style raid, hosters increase their coin pool by a few percent, helping them reach their relic goal faster. (This means the %age chance winning coins public-wise goes down about 10%, but with higher chance that raids will always be free)
660K Plan and who does it affect?
- Hosters: Double edge sword.. you could get more coins for your buck on a good night, or lose some gil a bad night
- Public: Those who sell currency will "lose profit". Those who collect coins, have slightly lower chances of winning a coin. Those who fit neither of the categories have no effect. (Everyone will have higher chance of not paying entrance fee for raid)
- The current crafting item net gain per raid is approximately 300K. It used to be around 500-600K but now Dynamis is very popular.
Ideas and constructive thoughts post please. (leave out comments that deal with "dynamis is my source of income" >_> )

I dislike the 2/3 coin raid.
First off since it's 2/3, which is 66.667% I belive if you go with this system charge 675k. I'll explain why below. And it's a 16% difference that we'll see in drops to people no a 10%.
I know some people just plain don't care. But for those that collect and are slowing working on relics, and those that do like the income boost the 2/3 coin really does hurt.
With the 2/3 coin rule, There needs to be a minimum of 240 coins to drop to have a chance of possiblity getting 2 coins with a raid party of 40 people.
With the 1/2 coin rule, There needs to be a minimum of 160 coins to drop to have a chance of possiblity getting 2 coins with a raid party of 40 people. Where as if 240 droped the one now has hte possiblity of getting 3 coins.
Note: It's only a chance at getting X amount of coins. There's no guarantee that the auto lot system is fair and you get even one coin. Personally I'm upto 3 dry runs with no drops, and that was with the 1/2 coin rule.
In neither of the examples am I leaving out the hoster in extra coin gain from auto lotting. In both cases the hoster gets extra coins from the auto lot pool.
On average with a 2/3 rule the hoster will actually be obtaining about 67.5% of the coins drop. Hence why I belive they should cover a greater fee.
So with all that useless information up what does that mean?
Well with 1/2 coin and "pay" your talking about 5k-7k pay to enter fee with about 40 people.
So other than debating why 1/2 coins and paying isn't bad lets look at creative solutions.
Kira, DC, et. all, collect on average 300k on materials, leading to a short fall of 200k. Why not supplement the short fall with singles. At a price of 30k a single it'd take 7 to pay that back. And at a price of 40k it's only 5 singles. Even if the singles were to go as low as 20k it's only 10.
This is by far a much smaller percentage taken away from the general auto lot pool than bumping the sponsor to 2/3 coins.
Another option is when we go "Farming" after completing said objective for the night the hoster reverts back to 1/2 or maybe even none (just auto lot) like what happened in bastok. Now how does this work on "Farming runs"? No clue, I really don't see a major difference between a key item run a farming run in the cities. This option would be hard to implement in the ice areas, so it's not perfect.

I like Kumixo's suggestion to supplement it in singles but most of the time that's going to be an after-the-fact type of total of what they'll lose so I'm just wondering how and where they would make it up.
Two suggestions...one be whatever the difference between craft items and the 500k be taken out of the next raid. Two, to take it from the hoster and have it be their responsibility to cover everyone else for hosting the raid. Since, most of the time it's only going to be a handful of coins it won't hurt their running total too much.
Just my two cents.

When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.
