Leveling up Parry Sucks..

Anyone have decent method of skilling up this skill? I sat in Boya-Tree for 1.5hrs tanking 2 Korrigans only to get 1level lol..

I currently have 231 parry skill, with +20 Parry equipments on.

Use war and tank better skill up rate i think... though i got parry .4 tanking something on nin the other day was like 'wtf"

Parrying is just very slow to skills up. >.>;

My favorite spot to level shield/parrying is Den of Rancor (east entrance in the jungle), next to the Temple zone (stick to the right wall). There's a group of pucks right before the Temple. If you're a bit suicidal, you can aggro them, let them hit you, and zone in Temple to rest, lol.

I'm going to try Den.

Suicidal is fine. I take about 1-20 dmg from Korrigans, so I may last a lil while.

I level up parry with my Faust tanking gear and chuck Phalanx2 on myself. The problem with having 231 skill is that I need to level on mobs are Decent Challenge ~ Even Match

Pucks are higher in lvl than the korrigans (a few up to Ts), so you should get skills up.

my parry skill is 263 got most of the parry from xp/merit
party. before my parry skill was 260

I can't level parry much in meripo pt

Mob's die wayyy too fast, unless it's a crappy pt T_T

I'll definitly try the pucks out. They are much easier to pull near a zoneline than Korrigans XD

can try doing marid with 3-4 ppl for parry too just got my
parry to 264 from marid.

Yeah, you're right in thinking you should try Pucks. I think Korrigan cap out at 236. Least that's what I heard on the monk forums for KI, in a guard thread. Here's the link if you're interested. Before anyone jumps in saying Monk's Guard skill is really different than a NIN's parrying skill... I use guides for parrying as fodder for where to skill up on with MNK Guard, and since they're both a pain in the butt to cap... I'd say comparing them isn't much of a stretch.

make a meripo pt where all dd melee h2h and watch you up parry ^^

want suicidal go claim guivre in kuftal and up parry there....

I capped parrying in Ifrit's Cauldron soloing HUrricane Wyverns and Ash lizards kirakun.

I think my gear setup was Opto hat, seiryu kote, breeze ring, emerald ring, fuma, scouters rope, War shinobi gi, suppanomimi, Drone earring. Basically I tacked on as much AGI gear I can with minimal eva. Around 30 or so eva.
