Waking the Beast ( Prime Awakening)

This thread is specifically for the people that are part of "PrimeAwakening"
for the purpose of completing the quest Waking the Beast.


The current line-up looks something like this

We are still very much open for more summoners and I'm waiting on some responses from three specific other black mages.

Here is my idea. Once we get started and scheduled we'll aim for maybe 1 to 2 avatars a day(ex: titan and shiva one day, the next time we meet ifrit and garuda, etc). First round for us will probably just be one of them to see how we do. Once everyone in the group has all the fights complete we can proceed to fighting Carbuncle Prime.
After winning the Buncle fight, I'd say it wouldn't be our only time since it's a pretty wicked fight! (and i think you get random items from a list after each time, and the goal items in my opinion would be Carbuncles Cuffs and Pole..and to have loads of fun!)


The quest in total goes like this

1. Examine ??? at La Theine Plateau (G-6).

2. BF x6.
1) Cloister of Flames : Fire Protocrystal

Lv.75 / 18ppl / NM: Ifrit Prime + Fire Elemental x4
*Obtain ●eye of flames

2) Cloister of Tremors : Earth Protocrystal

Lv.75 / 18ppl / NM: Titan Prime + Earth Elemental x4
*Obtain ●eye of tremors

3) Cloister of Tides : Water Protocrystal

Lv.75 / 18ppl / NM: Leviathan Prime + Water Elemental x4
*Obtain ●eye of tides

4) Cloister of Gales : Wind Protocrystal

Lv.75 / 18ppl / NM: Garuda Prime + Air Elemental x4
*Obtain ●eye of gales

5) Cloister of Frost : Ice Protocrystal

Lv.75 / 18ppl / NM: Shiva Prime + Ice Elemental x4
*Obtain ●eye of frost

6) Cloister of Storms : Lightning Protocrystal

Lv.75 / 18ppl / NM: Ramuh Prime + Thunder Elemental x4
*Obtain ●eye of storms
3. Go to Full Moon Fountain
4. Examine Moon Spiral.
5. BF (Lv.75 / 18ppl)

1) Carbuncle Prime (HP100%) x1 HP75% Extinction
2) One avatars appears among six avatars. Defeat
3) Carbuncle Prime (HP75%) x1 HP50% Extinction
4) Two avatars appears among six avatars. Defeat
*Attention: Astral Flow
5) Carbuncle Prime (HP50%) x1 HP25% Extinction
6) Three avatars appears among six avatars. Defeat
*Attention: Astral Flow
7) Carbuncle Prime (HP25%) x5
6. Finish

Not too sure if we gotta repeat all the fights before carbuncle prime to do it again, so if any of you know post away!

I'm thinking a once a week schedule will be okay for this. We'll figure out something!

and just to get this off my chest...

Why does everything have to be blm burned or smn zerged? I'm sure there are other ways to win. It's really annoying to see post after post about events only wanting blms or smns for things. Is it because that is just the easist way, so no one will try anything else? I mean now I feel like I need to lvl up blm while I'm home on maternity leave just so I can participate in events. It just doesn't seem fair to all the other jobs out there, you know.

Sorry for the rant, it's just something that's been bothering me for a while now.

Okay lol first response to Amo, it just was something i wanted to try, part of my own desire for leveling up summoner was to do a summoner group event, I didn't try to find any attempts of people doing this fight any other way because fighting nearly 34 astral flow effects didn't sound too fun for melee's.
As for you two wanting to participate, I'll toss you guys into the line up because i'm sure we'll need someone like Z in the fights to just help kill shit, but we'll get something figured out amo

I just wanted to do this quest spur of the moment last night and started asking people after dyna if they'd be interested and ya, watch the video's!!!!





Arthars the drops from this fight total about 3 items only... from the fight itself, you don't get to choose item like you would normal avatars

I'll have a list made up of everyone's preference later once we get closer to that. Carbuncle's Pole is 100% quest reward after the quest, or so i've heard. But its random chance to even get 3 of the items if at all different ones.
