The conditions on which Latent Effect disappears
(Mobs : Easy prey+) (ie. Robber Crabs @LV75)

Normal WS 　 1point
Lv1 skillchain 2point
Lv2 skillchain 3point
Lv3 skillchain 5point

Latent Effect is removed when a total of 300 points is reached.

Quests are started by talking to the specific NPC of the weapon as long as preconditions are met. With the given Trial Weapon, you are to remove the Latent Effect by using it in battle. Once Latent Effect is removed (by re-equipping and checking that stats on the weapon no longer work), you trade the Trial Weapon back to the NPC. After, you goto the destination where the NM for that weapon resides and click ??? to pop the NM.

Walkthrough
1. Go to Bostaunieux Oubliette. (Groundwater way I-8)
2. Investigate the "???", You will receive the "writing of a trial".
3. A NM called Bodach will appear. You have to defeat it.
4. ??? is investigated, the writing of a trial will come to hand.
5. It will end, if it talks with Oggbi.

3. A NM called Baronial Bat will appear. You have to defeat it.
4. ??? is investigated, the writing of a trial will come to hand.
5. It will end, if it talks with Jakoh Wahcondalo.

3. A NM called Girtablulu will appear. You have to defeat it.
4. ??? is investigated, the writing of a trial will come to hand.
5. It will end, if it talks with Curilla.

1. Go to Western Altepa Desert. (E-9)

3. A NM called Maharajah will appear. You have to defeat it.
4. ??? is investigated, the writing of a trial will come to hand.
5. It will end, if it talks with Gumbah.

i dunno Dc...havn't bother killin the wsnm yet...its in rancor and i know the ws sucks so i don't bother wasting peoples time....i'll do it one day when everyone is bored...

More people using spinning slash coz it deals the most damage and also that it closes up SC: Light.

you need to be 71 to receive the quest, it doesn't matter what your combat lvl.

omega received at @249, but he was 71. i was 70 @251 and could not receive.

i am in michigan now.. can't play >.<
lung and i were debatting if to get Balmung using our Hauberk money.... then decided to get Hauberk first... no point of getting the sword if we can't hit anything...

i am currently able to pay for 0.125 of the Balmung.. maybe the sword handle ^^;

I thought u farmed enough for 2 haubergeon then u should ahve enough for hauberk and close to getting balmung.
yeah but you are right there is no point to get uber weapon if u can barely hit with it ^^
