Quick Question on BST

#1 Post by meph »

havent been playing BST for a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time now....last play was 2005?

anyway i know there r a few patches about BST, i read some, but we still have to "leave" our pet to gain full exp??
coz i was playing last nite...when i played the pet will stay by my side and wont depop..now they do...

and these pet do regen when waiting(or when nothing to do), so shall i wait or just let them depop and charmsomething else?

You can keep your pet when you kill and get full xp.

To have your pet regen you need to have it 'stay' I believe.

And yea they depop if you're too far away from their original spot when you leave them.

If pet is EM or lower, you don't need to use leave to get full exp.

Only regen if you use Stay. Some think using Stay is better than finding a new pet.

If a mob is out of it's "spawn area" it will depop when you use leave outside the area. If you use leave inside the area, it won't depop.

Redice & Mosh basically answered the questions, so I'll just add a bit. If you're soloing it's better to get a new pet instead of using "stay" to regen pet. It takes a bit of time for it to fully recover.

From 60-65 I used the BT to Cape T. route. Both places aren't too difficult to solo in.

At ~lvl60? Can't kill raptors yet I think. Mainly focus on killing goblins, though Goblin Bandits are a pain.

For duoing:
LVL 62-64: Cape Terrigan
Pets: Sand Lizards (62-66), Beach Bunnies (62-65)
Mobs: Goblins (Shepherd, Mercenary) (64-69), Stygian Pugils (63+), Robber Crabs (60-68)

LVL 63-66: Cape Terrigan
Pets: Sand Lizards (56-66)
Mobs: Sand Cockatrice (71-74)
Strategy: Duo is workable here, but you'll have to do some pet swapping. Trio is better, faster kills, less pet swapping. As always, stay on the rear end of the cockatrice due to the directed silence WS it has.
