Raise III

#1 Post by Caduceus »

As many of you know, Raise III recently sold for 1,300,000 gil. Which is approx. one million gil more than what my current budget allows. I'm only lv.64 at the moment, however, I don't want to sit around organizing quests all week by the time I have 69 or 70 to track down this scroll. I'm afraid I won't be able to raise the money, so, I'll have to get it through one of three methods~

Beadeaux (Za'Dha Adamantking), BC (QuBia Arena / Lachesis Orb), or
The Shrine of Ru'Avitau (Kirin).

Za'Dha might be a good target... but NM camping can really suck in general, and I'd feel bad if people were forced to surrender a scroll to me that would otherwise get them alot of money... The BC would be the second option, but I'm not sure I have enough Kindred Seals and even if I had enough, I'd only get one shot at winning a Raise III scroll (which would be awfully rare anyway). Option no.3 is Kirin. Some time down the road I might be able to help you guys with Kirin, but like Za'Dha, I wouldn't know if you'd give up a drop like that. Keep in mind this is something we don't have to worry about doing right away, but I want this to be kept in mind as we travel down the path of slaughtering many, many NM/HNMs. So, any comments or helpful input would be greatly appreciated.

BC is what I would recommend the most, If I remember correctly that is the no limit BC mob type is spider, pop up to 8 I think. I have done this BC so many times and never lost once so If u can organize a PT of PLD, BLM, WHM, RNG and me (RDM) and another DD, will be good to go ^^

The sad thing is the era of gil selling/buying has driving things that were once worth 200K up to the millions. I find this rediculous and really irks me. Personally I would still give raise3 to whm's who are missing it. After all, all high levels praise its use. Is 1mil worth the hours of regaining all lost exp, especially when you are expected to die 5-8 times vs some HNM and eat raise1 or 2? =p

R3 is taken too much for granted. Abuse of the spell makes us WHMs like ppls' slaves. Since I haven't gotten RR3 I have come to realize this b.c alot of times I get to eat R1 or R2 or RR2. In one day lately I probably lose 3-5k just from one or two of those raises. And I get excited just seeing if I get R3 casted on me. :? Hell I don't mind it cuz I know it's what I get for choosing WHM class but ppl need to learn not to take that spell too much for granted :?

Well, I have 31 Kindred Seals, so I have one shot at getting a drop.

We can move on to organizing this BCNM if you guys are willing.
