Some strategy facts on DL i got :D

#1 Post by Arthars »

From a LS mate in a DL defeating LS:
1. The Dynamis Lord fight last 2+ minutes
2. They have 6 RDM/DRK and DL dead on 5th stun order
3. they have 2 Full PT of rng(RNGx5 BRDx1)
4. Their melees only used 1 spirits within each
5. Their PLD have SJ NIN

Heres some strategy i got of their full attack:
1. About the same site we fight DL today.
2. They have STUN + Invincible order TOGETHER. Example: RDM1 + PLD1 SPStun + Invincible together, this is to prevent rdm from getting hate and BLM can nuke peacefully.
3. RDM line up themselves for stun, THEY DID NOT PUT RDM STAND TOGETHER WITH BLM(DL GA spells is fast almost as fast as chainspell casting, u may get all BLM killed if RDM stand with BLM, Just like a suzaku battle). About where they line up, i'll let kira know ^^
4. Once the stunning rdm is done, he will run back and next in line rdm must run in and take over position(this is like a short 10 M relay competition)
5. PLD SJ NIN is kinda tricky, this all depends of the BLM control hate at beginning to make this works because if BLM just nuke like no tomorrow, this is not going to work, SJ NIN is good for PLD when DL uses Blood weapon. During the invincible period, theres one tricky moment the next PLD in line must take note. DL uses Hundred fist is the vital part, yes u might be waiting for the SP PLD to do something like "<call> MY SP END U GOGOGO" , BUT IF UR THE NEXT PLD IN LINE AND WHEN DL USES HUNDREDFIST, U MUST GO RIGHTAWAY WHEN THE CURRENT PLD FALLS(Cos PLD in SP mode might have not enough time to last throughout the DL's Hundred fist). This is vital, u must be alert, else everyone will start dying.
6. BLM do not use GA spells at start, they used IIIs to start off, if Thunder III isnt resist(Full damage), use another Blizzard III. If Thunder III is semi resisted, u can add on a Thunder IV(I think all BLM know wat i mean). this is Initial hate control. Spells to use is Blizzard III, IV and thunder III, IV. When u see DL summon, it means an inc of 1 Copy of himself, at this time, BLM is encourage to use a GA spell to hit both the DL and his copy, the copy die to roughly 1-2 Ga spell(Ya its weak). Same here, GAs to prepare is only Thundaga 3 and Blizzaga 3. Once copy die, back to III and IV.
5. Melees that didnt SJ THF r advised to Spirits Within and fxxk off from the scene. AIM is to keep PLD stand as long as possible so WHM wont have time to cure u ven u get hit. SJ Thf melees can do a SATA WS, it seem it work better than SW because u only need 100% TP, but this means risks of dying(Who cares abt dying)
6. If stun order is all used up and PLD SP also finish, BLM use manafont and fight to the end, everyone can go in full attack and this is the period u need to reraise and refight, take any raise and throw urself at DL
7. If things go right, it should die within 3 mins, u cannot afford to play a long battle with DL.

Ying and Yang:
1. DL do not summon them, DL onyl talk trash thathe brings them back and they will just pop at where they r initially.
2. 2 NIN will stay and wait at where Ying and Yang is originally located. Once they pop, Pull ur respective dragon and run down slope via the way down where DL fight scene is not in place.
3. As DL fight should end fast, 2 nin bringing the Dragons down is enough. The others can concentrate spirits within or tank if PLD die, or Mijin urself at DL :P

Thats roughly i asked my LS mate

hope this all helps

and also something that wanna work on.
My friend LS RDM stun order dont just come out of no where.... In every city raid, they even have their RDM SJ DRK to practice their stun line ups at the mega boss before killing it.

This is something we might wanna work on.

They actually have their next RDM and PLD in line to manually count 30 secs (using /clock) upon current RDM SP and then go at the 32-33 sec. they dont wait for <calls> cos its too slow and chaotic in a DL fight

yea practice is important. lets do this ^Q^

Sounds good Arthars. I'm still thinking about either doing a Windurst/Jeuno Raid or a Xarc for next Friday. I'll put a a vote shortly to see what people want.

Last night we only had 3 or 4 SP-Stunners. I'm hoping within a week or two we'll have 5-6, matching what we originally had the first time we got to DL.

The idea of practicing stun order on Mega sounds like a great idea and it's something we should give a try.

More DL strategy

#4 Post by Tilo »

I know most of you are familiar with the Dynamisbums website, as well as the fact that they have acheived success recently against DL, but their website doesn't reveal much of the strategy they used.

Here, my friends and fellow happyhuman comrades, is a better look at what they did:

He makes it sound very simple, however having everyone move like one well oiled machine is going to be the tough part.

Just need melee to sub one of three things : /SAM, /RNG, or /NIN

Everyone brings proper items:
-Reraise earring/gorget
-Sleep pots
-Elixirs etc
-Icarus Wings
-Sleep pots

Our strat works perfect, if we have 5 or 6 RDM/DRK that gives us 2.5-3mins of stun. According to the strat this should be enough to take him out. As everyone saw we took about 20-25% in about 1 minute, if that long. Next time after we kill Ying and Yang we won't have to be frantic about getting in position. We can be calm, take our time, equip swords, opo opo necklace, and sleep pots.

I expect us to win within our next two attempts. We can do it no doubt.

Well I can come as 71-72 SAM/RNG or as NIN... Depending on how many NINs show up for tanking the NMs.

Either way, I'd really like to do this this the regular "core" HH members instead of going outside the linkshell to fill it up with RNGs and BLMs just because we want to win >_>

I doubt very much your sam/rng would hit anything at that level. Gonna need Seiryu kotes because even with even with +60 r. acc, +28 agi, 234 archery skill, WS acc+16 and squid sushi I'd still miss Sidewinder unless I waited until about 180-200% TP.

I've already considered players that attend HH Xarc and Beau as core players. I'll be looking to select a few more jobs based on the attendance spreadsheet the next few raids to select last few jobs.
